ORIENTATION
Letter from the Board

Dear Gardener,

We're so glad you'll be gardening with us the upcoming 2025 season.  This garden is run by the community, for the community--and you are part of it.  If you haven't contacted us about joining the garden, please contact the Registars to get you started on the process, which begins with attending an Orientation.

Scheduled Orientations for new gardeners can be found on our Calendar.  We'll go over everything from the layout of the garden, where to find things, what we do and don't allow as an organic garden, common area maintenance to where the toilets are located and who to reach if you need help, support or questions for any reason.  Aside from that, you'll have the pleasure of meeting your fellow gardeners.

A few things to underline as the year begins:

Every gardener must attend an orientation prior to plot rental.

2025 Season Orientation

#1 Saturday, February 08   1:00pm-2:30pm

          In-Person at Longmont Public Library

#2 Friday, February 21    6:00pm-7:30pm Via Zoom

#3 Sunday, March 16   2:00pm-3:30pm

          In-Person at Longmont Public Library

We also invite any returning gardeners to orientation to meet the Board of Directors and new gardeners.

If you'd like a copy of the Gardener Handbook, you can download it here.  This is the material we'll cover in your orientation.  Ideally, you would read this Handbook prior to Orientation.

  • New gardeners on the wait list can select their plots on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Please contact the Registrar if you would like to schedule a garden tour.

  • If you're looking for a mentor, please mention it to the Registrar, and you'll be shown available gardens near experienced gardeners willing to mentor you.

  • New Gardeners can only rent one plot in their first year.
